That’s interesting about your Swinhoe’s Whiteeye report. Last week on my morning walk I discovered a small group (4-5) Swinhoe’s Whiteeyes in a tree above my head. I ID them through Merlin, then hurried a half block home to get my bins for a better view. They only stayed a minute or so after I returned, then flew to another tree before flying farther. I’ve been in my Mar Vista neighborhood for 20 years and have never seen a Swinhoe’s Whiteeye here, much less a small group.Lisa Freeman
