Yea! Connor led a walk at the Boyer farm area. A very nice oasis in the middle of
New houses and farm fields. Part of the Cincinnati Zoo. One swamp area is
Mud. But only Killdeer. Sigh…. The lack of shorebirds is grim up here…..But
Canada Warbler, BT Green, yellow warblers, Black and white were excellent!
Finally - warblers! Fall has started. Blackburnian around Fernald. From a fellow
Birder. Canada warbler was new for the county for me. 199 for life! BT green is
New also. I didn’t see that so took of my list. Cedar waxwings around. I need
That for Clinton. Not warren. Hey, it’s hard keeping all this straight! Ebird let’s
Me know.
Spring Valley - still flooded. And now I know why. The drain areas are still
Boarded up. A friend and I were talking to odnr workers there. The lake will
Be drawn down every other year. They talked about two other spots that
Are drawn down this year. Haines marsh and an area off Clarksville rd. South
Of Caesar creek. I will look these areas up for next week. Any info on these
Is appreciated.
Good birding all!
