Beginning to think about next week's shorebird walk at Ten Mile Beach.
We have not had a big influx of shorebirds, yet this season. However,
today I did find a cooperative Pacific Golden-Plover, a Baird's
Sandpiper, a confiding Short-billed Dowitcher, Sanderlings, and both
Western and Least Sandpipers. These were mostly about a mile and a half
north of the Ward Avenue parking area. We will hope for even more by
next weekend.
