The peaceable kingdom was active last night. A bear attacked our 3
hives. Fortunately they were inactive and Hilary did not raise any bees
this summer so there are just hive pieces. A neighbor has some hives and
her bees have been cleaning out our hives. Time to pick up the feeders
hives. My son saw a black bear strolling down his driveway early this A
M. I realize this is not strictly avian info but bees, and bears are
interactive with birds.
