8/20 Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center, 9:45am-12:45PM.
overcast, 70F, windy, high tide-receding. I didn't see any Purple Martins
this morning. Our Purple Martins seem to be on their southward migration.
Our Osprey fledglings were busy flying around the marsh and spent much of
the morning eating a fish.
The center was very busy with visitors this morning- adults and children-
local and out of state.
On the marsh- 1 Canada Goose, 5 D.C. Cormorants, 2 Least Terns, 1 Mute
swan, 2 Barn swallows flying over and 2 juvenile Yellow crowned night
herons flying over and foraging along the marsh edge.
On the grounds: 1 Ruby throated hummingbird at the feeder, 4 House
finches, a Chickadee, a Mockingbird and 2 Cardinals.
