It has been busy. There are still 3 swallow nests, 2 in the barn and 1 in the el. The babies are ready to fledge and 3 have fallen out of the nests. If we find them on the barn floor we put them on the first loft. Late this afternoon 2 hen turks led their 6 poults across the front hay field. Then a much smaller one raced to catch up. The ravens have a nest in the cell tower and discuss the world. I know these are not birds but we have noticed that a woodchuck is living under the side porch.
