Subject: [sd-birds] Hummingbirds
I was at Hitchcock Park in Mitchell yesterday and saw the humming birds.
One looked bigger than others. Possible different species.

The park planted tons of a red salvia and red cannas.

Friend went later and said he saw about twenty.

Might be an exaggeration but they love the food sources.

I was looking for bumble bees and got a county record for hunts.

Anyone with time should visit the area. It's on the very east side of Park
right off foster.

Lots of swallowtails and Skipper butterflies as well.
