Subject: [CT Birds] Lincoln's Sparrow Farmington
I had an early Lincoln's Sparrow this morning at the Farmington Meadows
area, specifically at a Farmington Land Trust property, the Cowles Tract.
I'm sure I wasn't the only one watching the weather who saw today as prime
time for some passerine migration. Actually Lincoln's is a typically early
migrant as sparrows go. While October is prime sparrow time, Lincoln's are
always on the move by mid-September at least. So this isn't unheard of.
