In response to Ragupathy’s post about Roxie’s connection to Arkansas, I literally just finished the book The Feather Detective by Chris Sweeney today. It was a fascinating look at the life of a stalwart woman who didn’t let adversity and bias keep her down. The world, not just the country, owes her memory a great debt for her work in bird strikes with aircraft. The best book I’ve read this year.
