Rob Skinner and I saw the Ruff roosting in the river with dowitchers at about 2:45PM. It was viewed from the north bank near Nextel as previously described. Thanks to Edana.

The closest location is to park near La Palma and Imperial in the lot to the west of the In-and-Out. Then walk east on La Palma and turn right on Imperial. Walk to the opening in the fence on the north side of the river (just before the bridge). Walk west on the dirt path. The bird was visible from that side of the river; however, it could go behind the grassy sandbar and be visible from the south side of the path. Depends on what the bird wants to do! It was still in the location shown below (below the Nexgen building) 1.25 hours ago. I don't know anything since then.
