Foraging in the first tidal pond with Least and Western Sandpipers, Red-necked Phalaropes and Greater Yellowlegs.
Size wise between Least and Western Sandpiper with a lighter scaly back; white underparts with buff-colored upper breast; pale supercilium; shorter bill than Least Sandpiper, black, straight and with a blunt tip; black legs.
