- Comments: "Continuing brownish-grey shorebird slightly larger than a least sandpiper. Short, straight, thick blunt-tipped black bill, black legs, uniform drab scaling on back, noticeable pale supercilium, rufous-brown crown, brownish ear patch. Foraging with a least and western sandpiper, then foraging with a western sandpiper. Picked amid the shallows while the western sandpiper stayed out of the water. In easternmost pond. Distant photo."

- Comments: "immature bird continuing on creek. Flew in from up creek at 8:35. Then left again and returned. Did a lot of fishing using its particular talent of raising large wings and dancing about."

- Comments: "Continuing juvenile, doing its avant-gard dance moves and successfully swallowing a few fish. The bird was present in the creek mouth throughout my visit. Overall brown and gray muted tones without much contrast. Long, all dark bill; dark gray-ish legs; light yellow-ish iris. I did not hear the bird vocalize or fly."
