Subject: [ia-bird] Barns Or Cliffs
Based on a response from a more experienced group member it is more than
possible that the visitors were Cliff Swallows. Their behavior was
interesting in the way they swooped all around the house and inside the
front porch seemingly checking out existing non active Barn nests and
lining up on the power lines out front.

They acted more Barn like than Cliff like and so I assumed they were all
Barns but the numbers more closely align with Cliffs and I wish I had
'glassed' them more fully. The Cliffs certainly mixed with the existing
Barn Swallow group that has been here all summer.

Nevertheless what a moment (lasted more than an hour).

Probably once in a lifetime.
