Hello Birders,   The Loess Hills Audubon Society field trip on August 2 to Broken Kettle Grassland found a couple of good birds. These include the following:
Red-shouldered Hawk - calling from the forest south of Butcher Road. There were also two Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers at this location https://maps.app.goo.gl/zndbSdh4LSgnQS1T6
Loggerhead Shrike - Jillian Murphy had a shrike along Cedar Avenue at this location https://maps.app.goo.gl/3XWLgjqoVqo7guaR9
I also heard reports that there was a pair of Pileated Woodpeckers at Zales' Prairie Hills, a privately owned prairie off of North Ridge Road.
