Dear Birders,
You are invited to the next LA Birders webinar:
Identification of Nightjars in the Southwestern United States
Join Lance Benner for an in-depth webinar on the identification of
nightjars and nighthawks of the southwestern USA. This talk will discuss
detailed identification by sight and sound for species that occur in
California: Common Poorwill, Lesser Nighthawk, Common Nighthawk, and
Mexican Whip-poor-will. Lance will briefly discuss all the other nightjars
elsewhere in the country. Lance will also explore their biology, geographic
distributions, habitats, behaviors, conservation status, and gaps in our
knowledge. The webinar will make extensive use of audio recordings and
sonograms.
So, if you’re looking to expand your birding skills, please join Lance as
he provides comprehensive tools for identifying these cryptic species!
