Yesterday, we welcomed three more intrepid travelers to the home property's new arrival list. At 1:30pm, an indigo bunting appeared at the feeders only to be chased off by a blue jay. At 2pm, a male rose-breasted grosbeak arrived. A blue jay cleared him out too. At 5:00 pm, a ruby-throated hummingbird was observed sitting on one of the house's utility wires.
Closing in on 40 species recorded on or over the home property since the first day of spring.
