I will be heading out from San Diego to the Southern Salton Sea, like between Unit 1 and Red hill park tomorrow (Friday). I am hoping to see Black Terns and maybe the Sharp Tailed or Stilt Sandpiper seen around Schrimpf Road. Also hoping to get some photos of burrowing owls.
Can anyone give me some pointers on where I could best look for photogenic owls and Black Terns? I am planning on getting there early and maybe leaving by 9AM since it will get so hot tomorrow.
