I was able to get in an hour or so of birding along the Kaw early this morning. The sun was out for about 35 minutes of the walk. I listed 36 species. It was not busy, but there was likely warbler movement - however I did not hear much song & I really had trouble getting my glasses on them because the foliage is so dense. Most of the action was in the middle and upper stories.

Besides the usual suspects

Warblers
Yellow - 3
Northern Parula - 1
Yellow-rumped - 3
Prothonotary - 1 at first singing a variant of its song I did not recall - did get a good look
likely American Redstart - just saw flash of color & did not see it well enough to list

Summer Tanger - 1
Pileated WP - 1 calling from across river
Fish Crow - 2
Red-shouldered Hawk- 1
Spotted Sandpiper - 1
Swainson Thrush -2 - their numbers have diminished sharply
