It was a beautiful early morning along the Kaw. I had an early class to teach today so I did a short fast walk. It did not seem ,very busy, shortly after sunup but it became busier before my exit. I spoke briefly to two other birders who have seen several warbler species. One said there were lots of Tennessee Warblers north pf the river trail near the KU boathouse but I did not have time to get up there. I listed 34 species.

Besides the usual species - surplus of Baltimore Orioles, Warbling Vireos, Great-crested Flycatchers making the most noise
Northern Parula - 3
Yellow Warbler - 2
Yellow-rumped - 3

Summer Tanager - 3
Yellow-throated Vireo - 3
Red-eyed Vireo - 5
Ceder Waxwing - flock
Chipping Sparrow -15
Gray-catbird - 1
