The Olive-sided may have left. I saw it fly quite high and then got
distracted and didn't see what it decided to do. Never saw it again
after that. I checked around again before I left.
The Calliope Hummingbird that Bridget Spencer found at this park on the
3rd was still there today. It wasn't particularly cooperative. Took a
lot of focus watching the general area where it has been seen to get
looks at it, and finally with persistence some crappy photos. Thank you
to Nick Thorpe who confirmed it's presence and the spot where it was for
me. My list with details on where it was:
I had never been to this park before. It's a big place with a lot of
varied habitat. Sits on the edge of a canyon. There is a good amount of
native habitat along with the developed park, which has a lot of trees
and a lot of grass.
