Subject: [NHBirds] Fantastic Fallout!
Seems like birds were seen everywhere today!  Amazing numbers of birds
came down last night in the fog.  Jane and I covered the immediate
coastal areas and neighborhoods from Hampton Beach State Park north to
just south of Odiorne Point.  We DID NOT get to Odiorne where Jim
Sparrell found the bird of the day....an awesome WORM-EATING WARBLER!
along the Eagle Scout Trail.  Sadly, I don't think others got it, but
Jim's photo is incredible!

As for us, we didn't find anything terribly rare, but seeing Ovenbirds
walking along the shoreline and warblers bouncing around in the rocks
and grassy lawns was amazing!  We tallied 17 species of warblers today
and 20 for the weekend!

The most amazing thing (and perhaps a bit troubling) is the early date
for this fallout.  This is the kind of fallout you look for a week or
two from now.  Not on May 4th.  Several species are being seen
remarkably early including Red-eyed Vireos (in amazing numbers), Canada
Warblers, Swainson's Thrushes, and Blackpoll Warblers.

Our list for the day.....not a total list....just a list of mostly
migrant birds:

And in celebration of my 65th birthday......a Birthday Weekend List of
124 species which we worked somewhat for (even though we started the day
at 7:51 AM yesterday and 10:42 AM this morning!)
