Subject: [ia-bird] Pheasant Who Lost His Tail
Returned this morning after having been absent for six weeks. Honestly I
had given up hope that he had survived it all. I see he has about three
inches of new tail and perhaps with that he is gaining confidence to call
hens again. Gives me a sense of how long it takes for a pheasant tail to
grow back even if he still has a ways to go. Literally, as I write he is
calling and I find all of this utterly amazing.
