Hi Everyone!
This morning Subha Mohan, Amanda Newlove and I led a "slow birding" trip to Coyote Valley Open Space Authority. This trip was designed for people who need or prefer a slow paced, shorter trip. We birded from the picnic tables in the parking lot and the picnic tables under the large oaks in the meadow. Our favorite birds of the morning were a *Western Tanager*, the *Yellow-billed Magpies* and the *Western Kingbirds*. After the trip while a few of us remained, we saw a *Red-winged Blackbird* pretty much riding the back of a *Raven* in his attempts to scare the Raven away. We wished we had had a camera!
