Rob,
I’d highly recommend Cuphea, aka firecracker plant or cigar plant. Look for David Verity or Vermillionaire cultivars. I’ve been using it for years and would say it’s my #2 annual for hummingbirds, with Salvia Amistad being an easy #1.

Hi all,

I'm curious of what you all think is the best hanging plant for
hummingbirds. The yard has many natives (and non-natives) for the
hummingbirds, 3 feeders are hanging (in an attempt to reduce conflicts) so
this plant's merely a supplement and it's primary job is to look good on
our deck but I also want hummingbirds to use it. We tend toward a fuchsia
and have done mixed plants. What's your favorite?

Thanks,
