Subject: [CT Birds] LHAS Mtg May 5 - The Wonders of Bird Migration - Fran Zygmont
Monday, May 5, 6:45 pm - Litchfield Hills Audubon Society's monthly meetings.  Fran Zygmont, longtime avid birder with a keen interest in bird migration, will talk about the travels of migratory bids to and from their wintering grounds.  Why do birds undertake these long journeys and what challenges do they face?  What tools do we have to study their movements?  Fran will answer these and other questions and explain how the weather plays a part in migration.  The meeting is at the Litchfield Community Center, 421 Bantam Road (Rte 202), Litchfield.  Free and open to the public.  The talk will also be on Zoom.  To register for Zoom, go the Calendar section of the website, lhasct.org, before 5 pm on May 4.  You will be sent the login link.
