Sorry to fill up your screens - the first was sent by mistake without name or place....

The Eastern Kingbird that I reported yesterday pounding its image in my 7th floor Fraser Hall Office at KU evidently has returned. This time outside our Departmental Administrator's office on the opposite (East) side of the 7th floor - when I returned a few minutes ago she told me she heard a tapping at her window & showed me a picture she took of the EK perched on the ledge outside her window. Phil Wedge emailed me earlier and said he has heard an Eastern King bird twittering between Fraser and nearby Blake Hall on his daily walk to campus. They nest in the sycamores so this is likely territorial warfare. The poor creature must think he is surrounded by competitors.
