The Eastern Kingbird that I reported yesterday pounding its image in my 7th floor Fraser Hall Office at KU evidently has returned. This time to our Departmental Administrator's office on the opposite (East) side of the 7th floor - when I returned a few minutes ago she told me she heard a tapping at her window & showed me a picture she took of the EK on perched the ledge outside her window. Phil Wedge emailed me earlier and said he has heard an Eastern King bird twittering between Fraser and nearby Blake Hall. They nest in the sycamores so this is likely territorial warfare.
