I did a quick walk by the Kaw early this morning. It was not nearly as active as it was Monday morning. I listed 27 species.

Swainson Thrush (22) and Baltimore Oriole (17) notes were ubiquitous and I likely under counted these two species substantially. Warbling Vireos (7) were also singing. I heard 2 White-throated Sparrows, 1 Fish crow, 2 Gray Catbirds, and 1 Brown Thrasher. A few Cliff Swallows were at the Mass Bridge, but the colony apparently still has not returned. Yellow-rumped Warblers (9) are still common - there was some movement in the upper & middle stories, but I did not identify other warblers. The only FOS species I listed was a single Brown-headed Cowbird. When I left the park about 8:30 the broke through the clouds so activity might have picked up as the area warmed up.
