Subject: [ia-bird] Palm Warblers and Other Delights, Lacey SP in Van Buren Co.
We spent an hour at Lacey State Park in Keosauqua this morning. FOY sightings included:

Palm Warblers
Eastern Kingbirds
Baltimore Orioles
Orchard Oriole
Warbling Vireo
Yellow Throated Vireo
Broad Winged Hawks

Also had great close up looks at a foraging Pileated Woodpecker.

A ten minute "listen" at the Eli Ford picnic area with the Merlin App around 9:00 produced the following list, all of which were visually confirmed unless otherwise noted:

Eastern Kingbird
Northern Cardinal
Am Goldfinch
Yellow Throated Warbler
Warbling Vireo
Chipping Sparrow
Northern Parula
Yellow Rumped Warbler (Myrtle)
Red Eyed Vireo (not seen)
Yellow Throated Vireo
Am Robin
Baltimore Oriole
Canada Goose
Palm Warbler
House Wren
BG Gnatcatcher

All in just a matter of minutes. Ah, the glorious sounds of spring!
