Iowa (UNRECORDED) and should be observed and documented very carefully.
Species with two asterisks (**species**) are species that are either
ACCIDENTAL, CASUAL, or a rare regular species, and should also be
documented. Species with one asterisk (*species) should have some details
of the observation provided.

Please note this is an UNOFFICIAL compilation of rare bird sightings from
both eBird and the IOU listserve. Data for field reports and early/late

4 WHITE-FACED IBIS continue at Nahant Marsh on the 19th.

A PINE WARBLER was seen at Nahant Marsh on the 22nd.

JACKSON COUNTY

A WHITE-FACED IBIS was seen at Green Island WMA on the 22nd.

An early RUDDY TURNSTONE was seen at Green Island WMA on the 19th.

A PINE WARBLER was seen at Green Island WMA on the 19th.

A SNOWY EGRET was seen at Green Island WMA on the 23rd.

3 BLACK-NECKED STILTS were seen at Green Island WMA on the 25th.

LINN COUNTY

A LITTLE BLUE HERON was seen at Center Point on the 19th.

JOHNSON COUNTY

A MARBLED GODWIT was seen at Hawkeye WA on the 19th.

2 BLACK-NECKED STILTS were seen from the headquarters area of Hawkeye WA on
the 22nd.

A PINE WARBLER was seen at the south arm of Lake McBride on the 23rd.

CLINTON COUNTY

A COMMON GALLINULE was seen at Goose Lake WMA on the 23rd.



NORTHEAST

DUBUQUE COUNTY

A CINNAMON TEAL continues at Deere Dike Park and Riverside Road on the 21st.

3 PINE WARBLERS were seen at Eagle Point Park on the 22nd.

BLACK HAWK COUNTY

A PINE WARBLER was seen at Hartman Reserve on the 21st.

A RED-NECKED GREBE was seen at Brinker Lake on the 24th.

SOUTHEAST

DES MOINES COUNTY

An early ORCHARD ORIOLE was seen north of Burlington on the 19th.

2 FISH CROWS were seen at Blackhawk Bottoms on the 21st.

VAN BUREN COUNTY

An early GREAT CRESTED FLYCATCHER AND BALTIMORE ORIOLE were seen at Lacey
Keosaqua SP on the 19th.

LEE COUNTY

A LITTLE BLUE HERON was seen at Heron Bend South on the 23rd.



CENTRAL

POLK COUNTY

42 WHITE-FACED IBIS were seen at the Big Creek Spillway on the 19th. One
was still present on the 21st.

6 MARBLED GODWITS were seen at the Big Creek Spillway on the 20th.

STORY COUNTY

21 WHITE-FACED IBIS were seen at Hendrickson Marsh on the 19th.

A SNOWY EGRET was seen at Hendrickson Marsh on the 19th.

A HOODED WARBLER was seen at the ISU Arboretum on the 21st.

A BLACK-NECKED STILT was seen at Ada Hayden Park on the 23rd.

GREENE COUNTY

29 GLOSSY/WHITE-FACED IBIS were seen at Dunbar Slough on the 19th.

DALLAS COUNTY

A CINNAMON TEAL continues in the borrow pit at the intersection of T Ave
and Highway 6 west of Waukee on the 21st.

WEST

HARRISON COUNTY

A SNOWY EGRET was seen at Desoto Bend NWR on the 19th.

SHELBY COUNTY

2 SNOWY EGRETS were seen at Prairie Rose SP on the 23rd.

SOUTHWEST

UNION COUNTY

A BLACK-NECKED STILT was seen at 12 Mile Lake on the 23rd.

NORTHWEST

SIOUX COUNTY

3 WHITE-FACED IBIS were seen at Big Sioux WA on the 19th.

A SNOWY EGRET was seen at the Owego Wetlands on the 19th.

POCAHONTAS COUNTY

A RED-NECKED GREBE was seen at Little Clear Lake on the 20th.

BUENA VISTA COUNTY

A NEOTROPIC CORMORANT was seen at Leo Grau WA on the 21st.

12 MARBLED GODWITS were seen at Little Storm Lake on the 21st.

4 WHITE-FACED IBIS was seen at Leo Grau WA on the 21st.

PLYMOUTH COUNTY

A SAYS PHOEBE continues at Broken Kettle Grasslands on the 19th.

SAC COUNTY

A WHITE-FACED IBIS was seen at Kiowa Marsh on the 22nd.
