My wife Joan and I spent a couple hours down on the Kansas River this morning hunting mushrooms, we didn't hit the mother lode that we were hoping for but ended up with enough for a couple meals. Spring birds heard or seen on the river in Wabaunsee Co were N Parula, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, and my first Fish Crow for the county.
Early this afternoon we had our FOY hummingbird at the house, it was a quick look and I'll assume its a Ruby-throated until I get a better look...
