Observers:

Visitors:
15, including a singular party of three. They warned that they would alter
my ambiance. (Now what?) The man and woman stood side by side while the
third party removed papers from her pocket and commenced the ... wedding
ceremony! It was a come-as-you-are dress code. After many "I dos", vows,
promises, affirmations, and the emplacement of rings came the coup de grace
- "I now pronounce you husband and wife." I went up to them afterward to
speak to them. Are you eloping?, I pried. No, they have been together for
years and this was just to formalize it. No wedding gown, flowers,
organist, I observed. No, we are very .... "Frugal!", I interjected. Not
cheap. But no rice, reception, honeymoon. And the beat goes on.

Weather:
Light to moderate SW winds blew all day, a warm sun, and 95% clear skies
set the stage for "ideal" migration conditions but not to be. What other
factors are at play?

Raptor Observations:
The first hawk showed at the early hour of 9:02 but momentum couldn't be
sustained.

Non-raptor Observations:
A Double-crested Cormorant rode a thermal high in the sky like a Bald
Eagle.

Predictions:
Tomorrow's count will probably be cut short by 2:00 pm. I don't know if
East winds are favorable or not.
