Back story
I usually use my lunch break to get out and enjoy some nature and shot some photos. One the way back to the office this afternoon, I spotted a small duck off in the distance that I could not ID, but knew it was unusual and not one you typically see in Nashua.
So after work I decided to head back out, and go on a literal duck hunt. Took me around an hour to find this beauty and I was pleasantly surprised to discover it was an American Coot. It was very close to the shore on an isolated portion of the Oxbow pond. But my patience and perseverance paid off. Once I found it, I was able to quietly approach, let it get used to me and I was able to get within 10 feet and get some wonderful shots.
Certainly not what I expected to find in downtown Nashua. Great way to end the evening. [image: American Coot-Small.jpg]
