About 7 this morning, I distinctly heard a bird in our yard saying "oo oo oowe". I tried to see it without moving the curtain, but all I could see were red- winged blackbirds & blue jays. So, I stepped on the porch with my binoculars but the only additional species visible were a gray catbird & a common grackle without a tail. I haven't been drinking alcohol this early. I am no crazier than usual. My only thought is it was the catbird mocking something it had heard. Thanks in advance for any suggestions that don't involve mental health.
