Subject: [ia-bird] Request for info: Blinds, Platforms, Boardwalks
Hi all,

I was curious where in Iowa there are blinds, platforms, and boardwalks for
doing bird photography, but I couldn't find any one source for that. I've
found things like general maps of birding locations
(like https://iowaaudubon.org/IBA/IBAMAp.aspx) but I want to know
specifically about these types of spots and how useful or not-so-useful
they are for decent photography of birds. If there is one, could someone
share?

But, if there isn't, which I don't think there is, I was hoping to
crowdsource a list. I've put together a spreadsheet and enabled editing by
anyone. I was wondering if people might be kind enough to fill it out with
as much info you have if you know of some of these
places. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xBFyti3FcbxJ71KCa8-JMVkbu_zdCin20eLxEq1oRFg/edit?usp=sharing

Eventually, I'd like to turn it into an interactive map and I'd share it to
this list.

Also, if you happen to have photos of the blind, platform, or boardwalk
(the thing itself and the view from it), I'd love to get those too to add
to an interactive map.

Thanks!

yours,
Kevin Ripka
