Purple Martin with female-type plumage. First observed in Anaheim Coves just south of Lincoln Ave from here (33.8325304, -117.8660163). It spent the rest of the time foraging over the Santa Ana River between Lincoln Ave and the weir to the south so I stood here (33.8337186, -117.8646906). A young Peregrine Falcon came through around 3:45 and I’ve had no success relocating the martin after everything scattered. It may come back! There are also good numbers of Vaux’s Swifts in the massive mixed swallow and swift flock.
