Hi Everyone!
Yesterday, Edward Rooks and I led a Birdathon team out to Diablo Foothills Preserve which is located in the hills east of Gilroy. This area is normally closed to the public. The bird highlights were a pair of *Western Kingbirds* and a pair of *Bullock's Orioles*, FOS (first of season) for many of us. We also had a pair of *Lawrence's Goldfinches*, 2 *Golden Eagles*, and *Yellow-billed Magpies*. *Grasshopper Sparrows* and *Rufous-crowned Sparrows* were heard only.
Do not disclose information that identifies the location of nesting birds of any species, to minimize stress on the nesting birds and the risk of vandalism or abuse.
