I found a Common Loon in full breeding plumage late this morning at Uvas Reservoir at this location: (37.0742960, -121.7035751) at around 11:55 am. It was very close to shore and doing lots of diving, staying under water for long periods of time.
Do not disclose information that identifies the location of nesting birds of any species, to minimize stress on the nesting birds and the risk of vandalism or abuse.
